Acquiring Zamora - A Mixed Reaction!

Acquiring Zamora - A Mixed Reaction!

When the story regarding our interest in West Ham United`s Bobby Zamora became public knowledge, we took the opportunity to gauge your reaction to the possible signing via our poll.

We asked you to vote on Bobby Zamora by ticking one of the following boxes,

• Good signing!

• Average Signing!

• Bad Signing!

• It will never happen!

• We could do miles better!

Well since we published the poll, things have gone very quiet on the Zamora front apart from the indication that the proposed fee varied between £4 million and £6.5 million depending on what paper you picked up.

Therefore, with no news, we`re all still on tenterhooks to see if Zamora will come to Craven Cottage.

As for you reaction, the results were as follows,

• Good signing! - 31%

• Average Signing! - 23%

• Bad Signing! - 6%

• It will never happen! - 3%

• We could do miles better! - 37%

Any suggestions as to who could be the miles better option?

So what we need is a striker who couldn't get a game at west ham last season, that's looking forward isn't it. NOT why don't we go for someone who cost 7 million in the europe land

The reason he couldn't get games for us last season was due to injuries. And you won't get anywhere near Gudjohnsen. Hopefully he'll come to West Ham but more likely Harry'll nab him.

He is nothing special so I ticked average signing. I didn't tick 'We can do miles better' because we do need to be realistic about the type of player that will come to our beloved club. Sadly I can't see Gudjohnson coming to Fulham although can you imagine how brilliant it would be if he did! You're more likely to see someone like Gudjohnson go to Spurs. Back to Zamora I think he'd be an average signing depending on his price (6mil???) and I think we should pursue him and Kitson for a half decent attack next season

He'll get a few goals, provided he stays clear of injuries, but won't be anything spectacular.

keep Nevland on the bench = super sub/legend! Zamora is rubbish he was linked with a few champ teams and if you want to stay in the league you need better. Id suggest Doyle from reading maybe Misfud from coventry although im sure hodgey could do better, we being millwall could take kamara of your hands :D
