'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Fulham - Leijer in Olympic Squad!

Over here at Vital Fulham, we`d like to congratulate our young Aussie defender Adrian Leijer.

Leijer has been selected for the Australian Olympic football team and will be representing his country at the Beijing Olympics.

He is amongst six Premier League players selected, Reading's Adam Federici, Leeds' Neil Kilkenny, Hereford's Trent McClenahan, Derby's Ruben Zadkovich and Sheffield United`s Brain Carney who is one of three over age players.

The announcement of the squad brings to an end rumours that our new keeper, Mark Schwarzer, may well miss the start of the Premier League season due to a reported involvement with the Australian Olympic team.

should be a good tournament, anyone know whose favourites to win?

This should be the launch pad he needs to get him in the first team

interesting to read that it not a FIFA ranked tournament so we don't actually have to agree to let him go!
Al Billy
He's been hotly tipped to break into the first team aint he? Anyone seen much of him?

can't say I have - one for the future maybe!
