They are just Yaking for it!

They are just Yaking for it!

According to reports today Fulham are after Young Boys Berne striker Hakan Yakin after the club confirmed he will be allowed to seek new opportunities at another club this summer.

The Switzerland international scored three times in three games during Euro 2008, and the attacker is about to join the eighth club of his career.

The Cottagers have reportedly approached Yakin, who could come as a free agent, and a Qatari club are also keen on the former Galatasaray star.

His employers Berne have revealed that the Basel-born ace will be allowed to move clubs this summer.

"For the moment he`s with us, part of our squad, and I don`t know where he`s going to move," Young Boys spokesman Charles Beuret told setantasports.com.

"Yakin has an option to leave the club this summer.

"He told us he`s leaving the club and it`s up to him and to his family to find the best option for his future."

Roy knows all about Yakin from his time as coach of Grasshoppers.

After the injury to kamara we are in need of more attacking options, but is Yakin what we need?

I'd say no! As someone said in another article - go for Gudjohnsen - a proven Prem player!

Lets be honest, you don't have to be much of a player to replace Kamara. Just remember how awful Kamara was for most of the season he played well against Man City, one decent game! Most of the targets we're linked usually provoke a reaction of 'Who the hell is that?' from myself. I had the same reaction when Andreasen and Hangeland came in, in January and look how well they did. If RH thinks he's good enough thats ok with me
