Bridge crocked in England win

Wayne Bridge has been injured during England's 2-1 win over Uruguay.

The Chelsea left-back has sustained suspected ankle-ligament damage after clashing with Paul Robinson during the match.

Bridge has been regaining his fitness on loan to Fulham in recent weeks but his first appearance for England in almost a year has resulted in him sustaining a serious injury.

The Whites first-choice left-back was carried off after just 28 minutes of the first-half.

Stay tuned to vitalfootball.co.uk for updates of Bridge's condition.

Bummer about bridge, he's been amazing for us since he came, good luck for a swift recovery son. Hope you make it back for the World cup but more important hope to see you in a Fulham shirt again before long
