With not a lot of news about, it`s somewhat strange that we`re running our fourth Lee Cook article in ten days!
Thankfully, this one has nothing to do with any clubs sniffing around regarding a sneaky purchase at a knock down price (are you listening Queens Park Rangers?) but instead concentrates on his battle back to full fitness.
Cook, a buy from Queens Park Rangers around this time last season, failed to make a single Fulham appearance thanks to a run of injuries. His only first team action saw him go on loan to Charlton.
In a Frank interview, given to www.icons.com this is what he had to say,
'It's only about a week until we're back for pre-season training and I must say the time has absolutely flown by. I'm really buzzing about coming back, having missed so much of last season with injury. I can't wait to get back playing again."
'The first six months of last season were the toughest. The time went really slowly because I couldn't even train. Once I got back in the swing of things, the season had ended before I knew it."
'Being injured at Fulham is especially hard. You spend most of your time in the gym doing rehabilitation work but the gym has big windows that look out on the training ground so you see all the other lads out there and just wish you were there too. But you've got to be patient when you're injured. There's no point trying to rush back because that only makes things worse.'
So the big questions is,
Does Lee Cook still have a future at Craven Cottage?
Your thoughts would be appreciated.
