My (Far From) Perfect Cousin?

My (Far From) Perfect Cousin?

I didn`t think it`d be long before this rumour resurfaced!

With Rangers and Fulham still, we believe, involved in discussions over the transfer of Steven Davis, some news sources are reporting that we`re about to renew our interest in the Rangers striker Daniel Cousin.

Quite why we`re not sure!

As the headline suggests, Cousin would be a far from perfect signing. The petulance shown during Rangers UEFA Cup semi-final where he received a straight red card; ended any enthusiasm I had for the signing of the striker.

Surely, that`s not the kind of player we need in the Premier League?

Perhaps the rumours have emerged because it is also being reported that Sunderland are in the hunt for a striker to replace the injured Kenwynne Jones.

The devil in me therefore has this little notion that some sneaky person is trying to secure Rangers a few extra quid by starting a bidding frenzy.

The only problem being, I`m not sure Roy Hodgson fancies the player anymore, are you?

I'm hoping Eddie Johnson and Erik Nevland step up to the plate this season!

So are we writing off Kamara and Healy?

Roy doesn't want Cousin anymore! Hence he didn't accept Rangers swap offer. keep Kamara, if he bring more consistancy to his game he'll be very useful. I would like to see nevland get more of a chance!

Have we released Collins John?

Unfortunately I don't think we have released Collins John. We don't need someone with an attitude like Cousins at Fulham in the same way that we don't really need 'too big for his boots' CJ in the squad either!

We haven't released Collins John and I hope we don't! He's a talented youngster with so much ability and I think Roy is the man to get it out of him!

Collins John tore a thigh muscle while on loan at Watford - be hard ot get a buyer until he's proven himself to be fit!

Be hard to get a buyer for CJ when he has demonstrated attitude problems, even in the championship clubs he's gone to on loan they haven't wanted him to stay with rumours around that he has a serious 'Anelka' style problem without the supreme talent!
