Fulham - Niemi Spoilt For Choice!

With Roy Hodgson having signed an experienced keeper in Mark Schwarzer and a rookie in David Stockdale, Anti doesn`t appear to have much of a future at Craven Cottage.

Thankfully, it doesn`t look as if Anti will be out of work for long with his agent, Richard Cody remarking,

'All the clubs that have enquired have been Premiership clubs - there have been five enquiries."

'Antti's on holiday at the moment and we'll be getting together next week to discuss the various options."

'Before he goes back for pre-season we'd like to get something sorted. Obviously he's very disappointed to be leaving the Fulham fans. They've voted him their player of the year for the last three years but he feels - and I agree with him - that now's the right time to move on."

'We're looking at a Premier League club, but it's important what they're offering and where they see Antti fitting into their club.'

Cody also goes on to suggest that two Scottish Premier League sides would also like to sign Anti but as you`ve seen above, his preference is to remain in the English Premier League.

Anyone care to guess the five English clubs involved?

Never trust a word that comes out of a football agent's mouth. I reckon the truth is that the only club interested is Accrington Stanley!

Niemi is a great keeper.

I'm too sure which premiership club could offer him the number one position. Boro? lol
oranje_emu
I cannot understand why you would want to replace a great keeper like Niemi with someone like Schwarzer.

Niemi's a great keeper but he's getting on a bit and he seems to be injury prone lately. But I can't see why he's been replaced with Schwarzer. He's not getting any younger either
