Croatian defender targeted!

According to reports today Hertha Berlin defender Josip Simunic is set to discuss a move to England after Euro 2008 with Fulham emerging as favourites to land the Croatia international.

The six-foot-five 30-year-old centre back has already been quoted as saying he wants to head for The Premier League and reports in Croatia suggest that Roy is leading the chase for his signature.

'I'm looking forward and I hope to go to England,' he said recently.

'I don't know where but we will see in a few weeks. There's a very good chance.'

This would be a good signing, and at 30 Simunic would bring even more experience to our backline.

Personally, I think you lot can do much much better than that.

He's a good defender isn't he?

This would be a good signing, providing the price is right of course. A good partnership has developed between Hughes and Hangeland but we obviously need quality cover and some competition in the side. Hopefully he'll sign for us

I like Hughes, but he's a bit on the short side for a CB aint he?
oranje_emu
Hmm...... Dawson?
Backslash2010
or Boulahrouz anyone? Or is that a bit hopeful that he can carry his Euro form over to the PL?
Fulham Badger
Why! He was rubbish down the road at Chelsea!
Al Billy
He wasn't THAT bad at Chelsea! I agree with Badger! Boularouz would be a good signing

Dawson?...... Again?

Wasn't Simunic that guy who got 3 yellow cards from Poll?
Fulham_China
