Dutch triumph!

Holland stunned Italy with a 3-0 victory to top the group of death.

In arguably the game of the tournament so far, goals from Ruud Van Nistelrooy, Wesley Sneijder, and Giovanni Van Bronckhurst gave Oranje a deserved victory.

The win puts Marco Van Basten's side in charge of the group of death, after France's 0-0 draw with Romania earlier.

Holland lined up with a team of:

Edwin van der Sar
Khalid Boulahrouz, Andre Ooijer, Joris Mathijsen, Giovanni van Bronckhorst

Dirk Kuyt (off 81), Orlando Engelaar, Nigel de Jong, Wesley Sneijder, Rafael van der Vaart

Ruud van Nistelrooy (off 70)

I was surprised to see Boulahrouz starting and no Heitenga. I expected Affelay to come in for the injured Robben, however Van Basten went for the defensive midfielder De Jong.

It was a fantastic game where Holland played their football. Euro 2008 Champions in the making, mark my words!

My man of the match was a tuffy to choose! However I have decided to go for Sneijder who's all energy performance was insperational and took his goal fantastically!

Hint for Roy: With Roy most likely watching the game I hope he spotted how well Ooijer and Boularouz played. Both are available this summer. Engelaar also played very very well! hint hint! lol.

It was a great game but then i've really got into this whole tournament i'm finding it much more entertaining to watch without england in it and waiting for that inevitable dissapointment. Well done to Holland great match i think they got the group in the bag now. If we got boularouz i would do the sex wee lol!
