Fulham Thwarted in Shittu Race?

Any plans that Roy Hodgson had to sign the unsettled Watford defender, Danny Shittu, may have been damaged by the entrance of a football super-giant.

With Fulham and Bolton vying for his attention, Walter Smith, at Glasgow Rangers, has supposedly waved a £3 million offer under Watford`s noses.

It doesn`t take a genius to work out that Shittu would prefer to join a club that has Champions League football on the agenda does it!

However, I hope Roy pulls this one off, he'd be a good addition. Pity Rangers are after him though, the option of Champions League football may be too big to reject.

Great at set pieces but liable to the odd mistake or 2 a game towards the back end of the season. Fulham are heavily linked as he still lives in London and was bought up through Charlton's academy. Would be surprised if he made the move to any of the Premierships bottom 6 if Rangers are interested.
