Town after that Fulham touch

Ipswich Town, who already have Legwinski in their ranks, are considering making a move for out-of-favour Fulham keeper Antti Niemi, Dejan Stefanovic and free agent Carlos Bocanegra.

Blues boss Jim Magilton is seeking a new keeper with a permanent deal for Stephen Bywater on the back burner and it appears Thomas Sorensen has slipped off the radar.

While no offer has yet been made for the Finn, who turned 36 last weekend, it is understood the Blues are showing an interest and Niemi fits the bill for the type of experienced keeper they require.

Blues chief executive Derek Bowden last night said: "We have made no firm decisions yet on goalkeepers. It is still very open."

Bocca, who was released in May, is considering his options as he wishes to remain in England. However he won't be deciding anything till after America's next game.

Ipswich have also been linked with veteran defender Stefanovic as they continue to add depth to their squad.

1.5m for everything and let them have 'em. Still can't believe we didn't get any cash out of Boca. Should have got at least 1m imo. Anyway, Niemi + Dejan for 1.5m would be enough imo. Would take a lot off the wage bill too.

Boca would be great for them, we shouldn't have let him go
Backslash2010
lets just wait and see who roy gets in to replace bocca

Ipswich could be a very decent bet to win the championship next year.
howrad
didn't they have a masive cash injection from some geezer last year?
Fulham Badger
they did but I think they were how do you say - conservative with their expenditure last season!
