Hull move rubbished!

It seems I jumped the gun.

Antti Niemi's agent has rubbished reports linking the Finn to Hull City, but has stated he is ready to quit Fulham.

Niemi acknowledges that his time at Craven Cottage is all but over after the signing of Mark Schwarzer from Middlesbrough.

'Antti will be looking for another club, he is not going to play understudy to anyone at this stage of his career'

'We are now discussing the situation to see what the best solution for Antti will be.

'The thing for us now is that we have to hope that Fulham will be reasonable.

'Antti has loved his time at Fulham, the fans have always been fantastic with him - but he wants and needs to be playing.'

Where will he go? A drop down to the Championship I guess.

Your thoughts please...

He would be good at hull but it seems not to be, so i geuss the championship it is then
Backslash2010
Signed Stockdale today too, so hes definately leaving - just a case of when and where to championship no doubt

If he came to Hull it would be the same story as a Fulham. The one part of our team we aren't really needing to improve is the keeper. Myhill is one member of our team most observers already believe is Prem quality. If Niemi came to us, it would have to be as number 2. We might consider buying back up, but I seriously doubt Hull are in the market for a new #1

Thanks for the input ph_1980, welcome to the premiership! Niemi has been a good servant to the club but a bit injury prone he perhaps needs to accept that he is now a no2 unless he drops down to championship that is
donfulham
but do Hull need an able deputy?
Al Billy
should be plenty of practise for keepers at Hull next season!
Putney
I am surprised he's not being sort after by a bigger club. Wasn't Arsenal interested last season?

The gunners were def interested last season. He could definitely be useful to a bunch of Prem teams including Spurs, Newcastle, MIddlesbrough so I'd be surprised if he drops down a division. All the best, Antti!
