Niemi on his way out!

Niemi on his way out!

According to reports today Antti Niemi is set to leave Fulham for £1.2 million.

Hull City are set to hold talks with Antti Niemi after the two clubs agreed a fee for the veteran Finnish goalkeeper.

The Tigers will offer Fulham around £1.2m for the 35-year-old former Southampton stopper, who played second fiddle to Kasey Keller in the later stages of last season. With the arrival of Mark Schwarzer and the imminent arrival of David Stockdale Niemi has fallen further down the pecking order.

Niemi has been fantastic for Fulham since his arrival, arguably keeping us in the premiership couple seasons ago, however his form has been up and down this season and Roy Hodgson has decided its time for the Finn to go.

With Warner already departed and the future of Kasey Keller unknown the lost of Niemi would signal the arrival of Stockdale.

I assume that next season we will have Schwarzer as number one, with Stockdale/Keller his number two and Batista being over-looked yet again.

Your thoughts please...

Why the hell do Hull want Niemi, when Myhill has been the best 'keeper outside the prem for the last 3 years.
