'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Lazio man turns down Roy!

According to reports Roy Hodgson was keen to bring Lazio midfielder Gaby Mudingayi the Cottage however the Belgian international has revealed he fully intends to remain in Rome with Lazio for the new campaign.

'Before arriving at Lazio I was no-one,' Mudingayi told the press. 'I have spent three splendid years here, I love Lazio and for this reason I would like to talk to the president to see what happens regarding my future.

'I am fine here and I have no intention of leaving, but we also have to see whether or not the club wants to keep me. If I stay I will continue to give 100 per cent to this club but we have to see what happens."

Roy is certainly aiming high! Let's hope he can convince a few players of this calibre to join!
