Zhi to arrive?

According to several reports today Roy is after Charlton's Zheng Zhi and is willing to make a £4million offer.

The 27-year-old China international is desperate for a return to the top flight and is understood to be ready to listen to offers.

Addicks boss Alan Pardew is hoping Zheng will stay for at least another term, after the midfielder scored seven goals in 42 appearances for the club.

However, he may be willing to part with the player if Charlton receive a reasonable offer.

I don't know much about this player but he doesn't seem anything special. Go for Engelaar instead Roy!

That's hardly prolific scoring and that's only in the championship, another rumour thanks to our sponsors wanting more players from the far east.
howrad
true, however, he does show some promise. maybe some regular playing time in reserves to start the season and then work him into the squad?
curtoberg
if he's so good why is he in the Championship? Smacks of a Lawrie buy :-)
Putney
ditto putney, ditto - poor buy - leave well alone!
Al Billy
so what would a reasonable offer be?

Nooooooooooo we already have one crap shirt deal why do we need another i'll go and smash my brothers phone if we do "it's LG"
Backslash2010
I don't see why this would be a Shirt Deal signing?!?!?!? LG is Korean, not Chinese so they surely just want Korean players? Hence the tour in Korea.

I know nothing about this player which worries me. 4 million sounds like crazy money but he must be a reasonable player as he's clearly been playing almost every game for Charlton, maybe he has got talent?
