'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Stelling Opts for Bullard!

There is no denying that the only decent way to follow your sides progress if you are unable to attend the match live is by watching Sky Sports and their excellent 'Soccer Saturday` programme.

Fronted by the 'housewives` favourite, Jeff Stelling, you know that you`ll be kept informed of all the latest developments as well as being regally entertained.

Therefore, in The Sun this morning it`s great to see that Jeff has recognised our club in hi send of season awards.

Not for Jeff the theatrical antics of Ronaldo, the power of Steven Gerrard or the posturing of many other stars for his `Player of the Season` instead Jeff pays homage to Jimmy Bullard citing his remarkable return to form, after the injury that sidelined him for over a year, as reason enough to secure his nomination.

He`s also had the good sense to nominate Jari Litmanen, in a tongue in cheek way, as the player in the Premier League as most needing a rest, after all, as we`ve often jested, it must be tiring picking up that salary after doing very little all week.

Naturally, after selecting Jimmy Bullard as his 'Player of the Season` he also features in Jeff`s team of the season.

I`m beginning to like this Jeff Stelling bloke more and more, aren`t you?
