Baird Wanted by Southampton!

The tabloids are, this morning reporting, that our Northern Ireland international defender, Chris Baird could be on the move.

Baird, who was signed by Lawrie Sanchez from Southampton, didn`t exactly set Craven Cottage on fire with his performances last season and although being a regular during the Sanchez regime, he hardly got a look in once Roy Hodgson took over.

If the reports filtering through are correct, Baird could well be making a return to Southampton, a club that flirted with relegation last season.

Intriguingly, one report implies that Southampton would prefer to take him on loan rather than pay a transfer fee.

Anyone got any thoughts on this?

Let him go to get rid of the wages, even if we won't get much cash. Would be nice if we could coax someone to pay for him though

They could never afford his services now, they are broke! On loan with yourselves picking up the wages, and hotel bill is the only way to go!
