Gooch a Fulham target?

According to reports today Fulham were impressed by USA international defender Oguchi Onyewu in last night`s game.

The 26-year-old centre-half currently plays for Belgian champions Standard Liege but has been linked to moves over the last two years.

Gooch has Premier League experience when he chose to snub Fulham's late bid and joined Newcastle on loan in 2007.

When we were last linked with him we were reportedly up against big clubs such as Real Madrid.

Onyewu certainly has a physical presence, like Hangeland, but he also has a bit more pace. He did fairly well when on loan at Newcastle.

An American to replace Bocca?

Did you see the match last night? The best players on the pitch where Dempsey and Bocanegra the rest of them were awful
Backslash2010
Dempsey and Bocca were terrible too! Dempsey vanished, and Bocca was pretty poor in defence! None of the Americans performed, except Eddy Lewis who looked pretty good when he came on.

Dempsey had a few tricks up his sleeve, he merked Gerrard
