'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Two more strikers linked!

According to reports today Roy is after Marlon Harewood after Aston Villa revealed he is allowed to leave.

Apparently Roy sees Harewood, who only made one Premier League start this season, as the perfect replacement for McBride should he choose to leave.

Harewood has without doubt the physical aspect, but I haven't seen enough of him to conclude if he'd be a good signing.

Kyle Lafferty is also apparently a target after he admitted he is ready to quit Burnley.

What do you guys think?

Marlon Harewood is a great striker, he would be a great replacement for Mcgod
Backslash2010
But if we get Lafferty we need to get rid of Either Healy, Kamara or Johnson.
Backslash2010
In that case fingers crossed!

Harwood over Lafferty asny day - at least Marlon has top-flight experience, for Lafferty it may be a division too far!
Putney
Kyle (great name) Lafferty isn't setting the championship alight!

I would be genuinely sorry to see the Hare leave, his arrival was greeted with a chorus of disapproval, I think he was even booed on the pich. He has been unfailingly professional, positive and upbeat. Not to mention scoring some crucial goals and dragging the whole team by the scruff when they needed it. He wouldn't just be an asset to your team, but he would help the whole squad. A quality player and a quality man, you should be happy if you sign him.

He really does sound like Brian there!!
oranje_emu
Orange! I thought you might like his christian name!
Putney
Anyone got any news on Collins John? Is he staying or going?
Putney
He's the forgotten man i guess, he's out of contract aint he? What can i say me and brian are like that! :-P
oranje_emu
Harewood has proven himself to be a competent premiership player so I'd be happy to have him. Sorting out the strikers next year is crucial, without McBride we couldn't buy a goal sometimes last year!
donfulham
Harewood would be a great player for us. Collins john wen to leicester and flopped which is a shame as ive always thought he's got real talent.
howrad
I still don't think its too late for Collins John. We finally have a manager that could possibly draw the best from him. I just hope Roy gives him the chance!
oranje_emu
harewood is going anywhere - so folks. He would be quality for you though, but that man has too much heart and villa have too little players as it is!
