Davis on His Rangers Spell!

In recent weeks we`ve been following the fortunes of Steven Davis as he completes his loan spell at Ibrox.

Now that it is complete, we here at Vital Fulham get the distinct impression that Davis would prefer to remain in Scotland.

Several quotes that have appeared in various interviews that have been published in the media give that suggestion credence.

The first (below) suggests that Davis is taking time out, in the next couple of weeks, to think about his future.

"I haven`t made my mind up about the future. It`s difficult to comment because I have to speak to Fulham and see what their thoughts are."

Then they swing heavily towards his affection for Glasgow Rangers, as he adds,

"All I will say is that I have thoroughly enjoyed my time here at Rangers. If I`m part of it next season then that will be great."

"I think the club is on the up again, they are progressing well and if I`m part of it next season then that will be great.

I`m going away on holiday for a few weeks and I will try to have a break."

"It`s been a long season and I will get something sorted when I get back."

"I wanted to win honours when I came on loan but you never really know how it`s going to go."

"But I have made an impact and played a big part in the clubs success and to end up with two trophies and having made a European Final is a great achievement."

"I grew up as a fan back home in Northern Ireland and it`s been an ambition of mine to play for Rangers and I have achieved that."

However, is there just a feint glimmer of hope that some of these quotes are in the `past tense` or am I clutching at straws?

Perhaps we really should be contemplating a swap deal with Daniel Cousin coming to Craven Cottage!

Reading between the lines - he wants to stay at Rangers then!

Looks that way - if his heart isn't at Craven Cottage - let him go!
Fulham Badger
sell him! don't much want Cousins though!
Al Billy
I'd take Darchville though - he could be a handful!
Putney
Cousin is as lazy as Collins John, and is over 30. Davis is much younger, works hard, has potential and a sell-on value. Cousin is no way worth £4m, which Davis is valued at by clubs such as Blackburn, Newcastle and Rangers. Keep Cousin as far away from Fulham as possible.

Davis was utter crap in a Fulham shirt. I just thought he was another Sanchez buy who wasn't good enough for the premiership but his performances for Rangers have been so good that its pretty obvious the bloke didn't have his heart in playing for Fulham. Ship him out, sod a swap deal for Cousins lets get some cash for Davis, try and recoup the money Sanchez paid and reinvest back into the squad. I, for one, hope not to see Davis back in a Fulham shirt

He was useless and ok then he played well in the scottish premier league but it is the Scottish league not the best in the world, unlike the one we are in

I didn't think he was THAT poor for us
