Fulham Make Second Summer Signing!

With nine players having exited Craven Cottage and only Mark Schwarzer having come in, Roy Hodgson has moved quickly to redress the balance.

Its being widely reported today Roy has secured the services of Bernard Mendy.

Mendy, a twenty-six year old defender with Paris St Germain, previously tasted life in the Premier League with Bolton and has been picked up as a free transfer.

Hopefully, Mendy will provide competition and cover for our current crop of defenders and we wish him well in his choice of club.

He's a right back isn't he? Who recently got 3 call ups to the French team and has just completed his best season for PSG! In other words, a fantastic signing, non?
oranje_emu

Putney
So he's one of those anywhere on the right players? Anyone know much about him? I only know what wiki tells me. He does sound good.
oranje_emu
I know PSG have struggled this season and almost got relegated!
merlin
Apparently Liverpool wanted him in January, but he's a Man utd fan so didn't want to go! According to a liverpool fan he would make the cut at their place, he can pace, strength, brilliant cross and can defend! Let's hope he signs on then!!
oranje_emu
Liverpool only sign Spaniards :-)
merlin
haha! very true! Or very good Dutchmen!

I've heard more and more about this guy, all positive. Why couldn't we have had RH as manager last summer instead of the village idiot? 25 million quid in RH's hands and we'd have had a superb season maybe even that coveted top 10 finish!

Also read he is a left back!
