Davies Suffers Welsh Disappointment!

Davies Suffers Welsh Disappointment!

After being so instrumental in our successful bid to stay in the Premier League, we here at Vital Fulham are gutted that Simon Davies will not be afforded the luxury of adding to his international cap tally in the next fortnight.

It turns out that Davies, who has captained Wales in recent times during the absence of Craig Bellamy, has been nursing an ankle injury during the last few weeks of the season.

Rather than risk complicating the injury in the friendly fixtures against Iceland and Holland, the club have secured his release from the squad with an eye on Davies resting the injury to speed up his rehabilitation.

No doubt Davies will prefer the scenery around his home rather than the scenery around Reykjavik and Amsterdam - we think not!
