Big Swede on his way?

Whilst scanning through the papers today I found a bit of gossip that actually made me smile!! The article suggested Fulham want to keep Manchester City's giant goalkeeper Andreas Isaksson in England.

The Swede is leaving City on a Bosman and has courted interest from Turkey in recent months. However Roy Hodgson is seeking talks with Isaksson about a move to London.

Why does this make me smile? Well, I have been saying to my other football crazy friends for the majority of this season, that I would love to see the big Swede at the Cottage. I have always rated him as a brilliant keeper and when Man City signed him I thought they had done some good business! However for some bizarre reason he never really got much chance.

So if this little bit of transfer gossip does turn into something then well done Roy!!

Sounds like we're spoilt for choice on keepers to purchase, have to say though a big sweede for free sounds like the best deal so far, not sure how old he is though??
howrad
He is a great keeper, should play at city but is the kind of player that would help fulham climb the league
redandwhitestripemad
He's only 26!
oranje_emu
I think he would be great for you given that he's only 26 as you said and he'll come for free!
Fan of Blues

Quite agree Orange - Isaksson is great, I hope Woy is on the case. Also wonder if we can get a few Italian starlets on loan deals, what with Woy's Inter connections. Not seen u in ages, orange, are you all examed up? :)

At only 26 i can't think of a reason not to put him between the sticks get him in now! Exams suck guys but the party when it's done should rival that of fulham staying up
howrad
