Carson Interests Fulham?

Several news agencies are suggesting that the international keeper, Scot Carson, is interesting Fulham.

Carson, a Liverpool player who has been on loan at Aston Villa all season, is rumoured to be unhappy about returning to Liverpool to play second fiddle to Pepe Reina.

Previously, a fee of £10 million has been mentioned whenever anyone has expressed an interest in signing the Englishman.

£10 million seems remarkably steep for a keeper, especially one who cannot command a first team spot at his parent club; nevertheless the news agencies seem to believe that Mr Al Fayed would be interested in signing Carson if the fee were lower.

How much lower remains open to debate!

Substantiation appears to be given to the rumour due to the fact that two of our three first team keepers are the wrong side of thirty, in Kasey`s case very much the wrong side.

However, no mention is made of the impending signing of David Stockdale from Darlington.

We here at Vital Fulham cannot believe there is even the slightest truth in the suggestion our club is chasing Carson; we believe that Roy Hodgson would prefer to spend that sort of money elsewhere on his squad.

Anyone care to disagree?

10m for Carson? He's not worth it. We got Cech for 7m1

Even if Fulham were interested i think he could do much better than them.

you cheeky Middlesbrough git!

Don't need him! Esp not for 10 million! I hope Keller stays and that Niemi's future is reolved soon too.

Well i rate him, think he would be a great signing just not for that money. Keller won't last much longer and Niemi is injury prone enought to play for spurs so if we could halve that fee i'd pay it.

I'd prefer Isaakson to an over-priced over-hyped Carson!
