Simon Davies - Confidence and Momentum!

Simon Davies - Confidence and Momentum!

In sport confidence has such a huge part to play when it comes to success.

At times last year there is no denying that our confidence was rock bottom, especially away on our travels when we couldn`t break that record we were carrying around our necks like a huge millstone.

The fact that we, in the end, finished with a flourish that not only kept us in the Premier League but also saw our confidence go through the roof, should stand us in good stead for next season.

Probably one of best and most consistent players last season was our Welsh international, Simon Davies. Even during the darkest of days his prompting from midfield and his ability to track back whilst also looking to get in a dangerous supply of crosses gave us a glimmer of hope.

Therefore, it`s great to hear Simon so keen to return to action in July and to continue the momentum, here`s what he had to say during a recent interview,

"Once everything gets settled down I think we can take the momentum into next season."

"The last few weeks, winning games that we haven`t done for a long time, we`ve got to keep that belief. When we meet up again in July, we will believe that we can win games."

"It`s difficult when you`re bottom of the league because there are pressure games every weekend. Everyone`s edgy and you can`t really get a rhythm to the game."

"The manager came in and got u splaying and he told us to trust our ability. We`ve got a lot of good footballers."

Shortly, we`ll be hosting several polls to decide our player of the season, anyone else agree that Simon Davies is a leading candidate?

Jimmy was only around for half the season! Davies has been our most consistant player! At times he looked the only premiership quality player in our team! Proved to be another Cookie success story! That's why he should get it over Jimmy and Macca! Murphy will be in for a shout but because only two can be chosen it's going to be Davies and Bullard moving into the final vote. Dempsey has also had a very good season.
