Out of the plethora of January transfer window signings, in my opinion, one man has stood head and shoulders above the others, Brede Hangeland.
The tall centre back has had the odd sticky moment but his display at Fratton Park last Sunday was top-notch.
He joined us at a stage of the season whereby we were in the mire but hit the ground running knowing what had to be done.
After that dramatic last day escape, Brede took time out to talk to the official Fulham site and he had this to say about just how the emotions can get to you in the run up to a big game, bearing in mind in our predicament every game was a big game.
"I can`t describe it."
"So many people had written us off and to comeback like that, it`s an amazing feeling."
"When you think about the pressure it can really make you feel a little bit sick so you have to try and focus on the fact that it`s a game like any other."
Brede also had some words to say about the man who brought him to English football, Roy Hodgson,
"I`ve been impressed with the manager."
"He`s always really calm and focuses on the things we need to fo."
"He doesn`t get carried away if we`re leading, or not leading, he gives us the right messages and he`s had a big impact on this."
Brede Hangeland - here to stay and here to lead us into a new era!
