Murphy`s Law

Danny Murphy produced the fourth-highest score for a midfielder in this week`s Actim Index, the official player ratings system of the Barclays Premier League, as his solitary strike at Portsmouth helped Fulham retain their top-flight status.

Murphy netted with only 14 minutes left to clinch a third successive win for the Cottagers, who at one stage were odds-on to be relegated.

The 31-year-old posted 37 points to move 24 places to 101st with 308 points. He is the second-highest Fulham player in the Index with Simon Davies (440) in 32nd place.

Paul Stalteri registered a season-high 29 points and Kasey Keller claimed an away-best 20 points at Fratton Park as the pair were named in the Team of the Week.
