Bocca to leave?

Bocca to leave?

According to recent press PSV Eindhoven are interested in making a move for our American international defender Carlos Bocanegra.

According to the report Bocanegra is available on a free at the end of the season and the Dutch outfit are showing interest in the experienced left footed defender. However they are likely to face competition from Spanish club Osasuna who have also already registered an interest.

Carlos, who was a regular for Cookie and vice captain for a short while at the start of this season has seen his place in the side taken by Hangeland. He has already been linked to a return with Cookie at Coventry but surely would find the attraction of European football at PSV too much to turn down if he does choose to leave.

With the probable lost of Christanval, (surely) Ian Pearce and Baird and maybe even Stefanovic it leaves us a bit bare in the defensive area. With this in mind I believe we should keep Bocca, he's proved to be a more than capable defender and with only Kallio and Leijer likely to be left next season would make sense to keep him.

I assume a few defenders will be topping Roy's wish list.
