Three Surplus to Requirements?

It`s being reported, in the Evening Standard tonight, that Roy Hodgson is seeking talks with three players.

The players in question being Philippe Christanval, Chris Baird and Alexei Smertin.

It appears that all three are facing talks over the future of their Fulham careers with the rumour-mill suggesting that, even if we are relegated, none of the three will be kept on!

Are you surprised by any of the three being allowed to go?

Smertin...... is he still playing?
Fan of Blues
apparently he has a contract but doesn't get many opportunities!

Like I said last time Christinval's name came up that I liked him and that if he was able to remain fit would proberbly keep Hughes out of the team or push him to right back. Unfortunitly he hasn't been able to do that! Smertin had a good start to the season but ran out of steam near the end of last year. Since then his holding role has been taken over from Andreasen and even he's struggling to get into the starting line up!!! Baird? who would miss him? Seriously! who?

I think we could add Seol to that list?

What's happened to Seol?
merlin
in short... useless

Actually, I think he's good player, but I don't feel he got his chance with you!
Fan of Blues
That's a fair comment. but surely that means he hasn't been showing any reason to play him in training?
oranje_emu
The last time i saw him play he was the most useless player on the pitch he's just not cut out for the premier league. but after all he was a shirt deal

Steve Davis for Ipswich i heard....

If only Cousin came from Rangers in January , What might have been????
quietman
^ Nothing! He is a miserable player that has no loyalty thats not what you need in a dog fight you need someone who can fight for their team to the last second of every game, like Bullard and McBride
Backslash2010
3, I would say you need to shake up a dozen of them at least!

Cousin might still come - when we stay up - positivity that's what it's all about!

Cousin has been slagging us off since January so I'm not interested tbh!
