Carragher Talks Tough!

Any thoughts that Liverpool would arrive in our plush part of London ready to take it easy ahead of their Champions League game appear to be wide of the mark.

Last season we took advantage of an under strength Liverpool team to come out as 1-0 victors and secure our Premier League status.

This year though Jamie Carragher has promised things will be different remarking,

"We`ve got to concentrate on Fulham."

"If we took our eye off them we could end up losing and maybe with it a bit of confidence for when we play Chelsea."

"Fulham are fighting for their lives and it will be tough. They need the points as much as us."

Bring them on, I`m getting restless!

As a Reading fan I of course hope that Liverpool will travel to Fulham and field the strongest team. Arguments for: Surley Liverpool will want to put clear distance between themselves and Everton and maybe see this fixture as the chance to nail fourth spot. Arguments against: Liverpool have every right to chose from a squad of available players, as we see more and more squads of this size planning for every game who would suit the style of play etc etc. Benitez may view this game as a chance to hand players a chance to be in the squad for the game against Chelsea and prove themselves on the pitch. The difference between this and last season is that Liverpool were in between games in the Champions league. I do however think that whatever team is put out against Fulham Liverpool will have enough to beat them!
