'If It's Football, It's Vital'

A Tired Old Cliché!

I know it has to be said, I know it`s the usual line that is trotted out these days but I have to be honest - it`s starting to really grate isn`t it?

I`m referring to the usual,

"We are making it difficult for ourselves and, it has to be said, next week is a must win game."

This time the culprit is David Healy who is discussing the magnitude of our forthcoming fixture with Reading!

With five games to go and six points from relative safety, it doesn`t need a genius to make out the next game is of paramount importance, the statistics, on this occasion, are plain for all to see.

The plain facts are in those five remaining games, we have three away fixtures. Now, I may be churlish here but how long will it be before someone on the payroll at Fulham trots out the immortal line,

"We have to win away from home if we`re to stay up."

Or should we simply resign ourselves to the fact that`s it is 33 games since we`ve won away from home - what have we seen to make us change our minds and believe it is possible this Saturday?

specially as Reading have a fantastic home record!! However they were the last (and first after the West Brom game last season) team that we won against by more than one goal! so fingers crossed hey?!?!
