Hyypia Deal Permanently Dead!

Hyypia Deal Permanently Dead!

According to various sources, Sami Hyypia has been a target for Roy Hodgson ever since Roy took over from Lawrie Sanchez.

We suspect that Roy was keen to bolster the Finnish contingent having managed the tall defender at international level and also knowing what he can do.

With Hyypia seemingly slipping down the pecking order at Anfield, until injuries revived his Kop career, it looked as if the defender may well be tempted.

Unfortunately, any further plans to try and bring Hyypia to Craven Cottage will now have to be permanently shelved even if we do manage to survive in the Premier League.

It would seem that Hyypia has agreed a one year deal with Liverpool and as part of that deal will also be given a testimonial season.

I guess that in itself sort of blew any chances we had of signing him clean out of the water.
