Hodgson On Spirit & Survival

Roy Hodgson has denied any hint of a split in the dressing room and says the players are still with him.

He says that there are no problems at Craven Cottage despite the anger from Jimmy Bullard when he was subbed at the weekend and he has made it clear he is the boss!

'I make the decisions. If the players are unhappy with them then that is up to them.'

And on the atmosphere around the club he added, 'I've been positively surprised, considering the situation and considering the position we find ourselves in, that people are as upbeat and as determined and as confident and have as much belief in themselves as they have.'

And on our survival hopes he says we can still stay up:

“The most important thing is how the team performs on the field of play. I can tell you a story of when I first went to Halmstad in 1976 there were 14 major newspapers in the country and every one of them had Halmstad relegated.'

'There are six games left to play and if we can win some we’ll be back amongst it. From the spirit in the team on Saturday, the chances we created and the desire shown, I believe we can still do it. I’m not prepared to give up on that. We’re in need of an away win but maybe that away win will come somewhere were people expect some what less.'

What do you think, are splits showing and can we survive this season?
