We Need Something Up North!

The draw, last night, between Birmingham City and Newcastle United, kept both teams in the relegation dog-fight with ourselves.

The game between us and Newcastle, on Saturday, was always going to be important but even more so.

That damned away record keeps nagging away at the back of our minds and it would appear that the players are becoming acutely aware of it to.

The latest to air his views on the subject is Simon Davies who remarked in a recent interview,

"We try not to think about it too much but we do realize that we need to win away form home."

"Newcastle are struggling and if we can go there, get on top and hope the crowd grow frustrated then we might have a chance. We beat Villa last month and we really wanted to kick on, but then we lost at Middlesbrough so this time we`ve got to go up to Newcastle and make sure we come away undefeated and push on ourselves."

"The manager said that if we could go the last ten games undefeated then we`d have a chance, but we can`t get too far ahead of ourselves."

"We have got a massive game up at Newcastle next weekend."

Wasn't Newcastle the last ground you won away from home at in the Prem? Now wouldn't that be something if you could do it again :-)

good on ya merlin! I like your renewed hope for us!! I think will win too! play 4-4-2! same as vs everton

if we play against Newcastle the same way we did against Everton they'll be ours for the taking. Problem is I can never feel confident about our away games. Our away form over the last three years of so has been pathetic!

I rekon it must be very draining to see that your fans harldy bother to show up, as in its not going to get any better if we go down so we should try to enjoy what we have left.
