Hangeland Takes the Honours!

For once we won and for once there were some outstanding performances!

Therefore, it was with great pleasure that we were able to publish a poll asking you to select who you believed best furthered our cause to stay up.

Would it be McBride who scored?

Would it be Keller who did nothing wrong?

Would it be Bullard who his usual enthusiasm drove us on?

In the end it was none of the above it was our central defender Hangeland who took the honours with 32% of the vote and who is turning into a good signing considering he was relatively unknown.

got to admit he handled Yakubu pretty well, he's surprised me, he's tall and skinny but looks very strong!
merlin
we had him on trial while he was at viking, so we did know about him, not that it helped! lol

Liverpool were interested in him too!I don't think he was our best player. He was good but I thought Andreasen was that little bit better.
oranje_emu
Andreasen is a very good player but needs more time to set in, but Hangeland is great he raelly settled in well and fast so he could well be the glue we need over the upcoming months
Backslash2010
in one word, SOLID.

I think it shows how much we've needed a strong tall "proper" centre half who isn't Zat Knight. I just hope he carry's on with his current vain

I wish I agreed. Hangeland is tall, I'll give you that. And he definitely tries hard. But he's too slow for the Premier League. I hope he speeds up, but at this point he's an accident waiting to happen.
fredm04
nice to Zat Knight struggling at Villa though - grass isn't greener I'd suggest!
