The Litmanen Puzzle!

The Litmanen Puzzle!

After suffering a health scare the other week, the position of Jari Litmanen at Craven Cottage remains puzzling.

Today, I stumbled across a snippet in one of those free papers that litter our tube train carriages that suggested that Litmanen may not feature at all for Fulham this season.

Indeed, it goes on to suggest that Roy Hodgson only signed him because he wasn`t sure of the quality of the players already at the club.

So are we to believe that, before applying, Hodgson had little or no knowledge of those at the club, or that somebody has made this whole snippet up or simply that Hodgson was so desperate to get back into the Premier League he`d have taken any old job?

Puzzling isn`t it?

Sad really! Why sign a 37 year old in the first place? Could have taken Sinclair on loan.

I don't see why everyone is so negative about jari!! He was free, has undoubted quality and a the very least is fantastic for the youth players!

Maybe Roy meant that he "wasn`t sure of the quality of the players" because he hadn`t yet had enough time to asess them.

strange confession in my opinion or it could well be a mis-quote!
