Why did we ever bother going to FIFA to ask them to slighlty bend the rules?

In reality, they were never going to asssit us, a homely club nestling next to the River Thames rather than a big-four glamour club like our neighbours down the road.

In fact, you sort of hoped that we`d never gone down the embarassing route of looking foolish when it suddenly dawns on you that the target, Daniel Cousin, was, depsite rumours that he`d packed his suitcase and left Glasgow, in the middle of changing his damned mind.

Do you think we`re jesting, then read what his agent, Willie Mackay remarked,

"The truth is we`re glad the saga is all over. In fact, Daniel has already spoken to Rangers manager Walter Smith and told him he`d prefer to stay at Ibrox rather than go to Fulham. He thought at first going to the Premiership woul dbe a big opportunity for him, but he has realised that he has a far greater chance of achieving success at a club like Rangers."

There`s a word for people like him but I refuse to lower the tone of this site and use it!

So he rather stays a Ibrox and wins the SPL with Rangers... than move to Fulam only to get sent down to the Championship? Not much of a shocker there eh? :)
