'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Hodgson`s Survival Guide!

Roy, we`re not having a pop at you mate, you never really stood a chance after Sanchez left us in the mire.

However, we can`t help but feel you need to get real, we`ve won three games all season, do you seriously think we`ll win five out of our last ten?

Well here`s what he had to say,

"The 3-0 score line sounds as though we`ve been totally outplayed but I don`t think that was the case. We were not outclassed."

"For me it is simply back to the drawing board because a lot of our football shows a lot of promise."

"We must try to keep people`s heads up. We need to win five games out of our last ten matches. That`s a big task but I don`t think it is an impossible one."

If we do win five (don`t laugh) out of ten, it`ll give us 34 points, would that be enough?

don't laugh - sorry couldn't help myself!

Our problem at the moment seems to be an inability to score goals (apart from own goals). 4-4-2 McBride and Nevland? Johnson looked completely out of his depth against Utd and couldn't be bothered to chase a couple of balls or put a tackle in that he really should have done at this level.
donfulham
but wasn't he supposed to be the one to fire the goals to keep you up?

Plus he seemed to fall over alot!! I agree 4-4-2 is the way! I think there are 5 winnable games left; Newcastle, Derby, Reading, Birmingham, and Sunderland. I still believe we can stay up!
oranje_emu
it is possible but to be in that position were you have to win 5 out of your last 10 is poor, i think that will be enough i can see this going down to the last game of the season

away to pompey! well at least they are useless at home, but are they as bad as we are away?!?!?
