Fulham - Plain Unlucky?

Fulham - Plain Unlucky?

I can`t help feeling that if we do get relegated we`ll have cause to look back and cite several incidents which may have influenced our path.

In all fairness, we`ll probably go down with the reputation as having been one of the unluckiest relegation victims since the conception of the Premier League.

Since day one of the season, we`ve been plagued with late goals, injury time winners and goals that have been awarded that shouldn`t have been.

Indeed, Lawrie Sanchez once calculate that if the game lasted eighty minutes we`d have been, at one point, on course for the Champions League.

No doubt such a silly suggestion may well have seemed to make sense but in the overall realms of things is probably one of the reasons Sanchez was fired.

Nevertheless, since Roy Hodgson took over, things haven` changed much in the way of luck. Only in the Aston Villa game did 'Lady Luck` choose to smile on us.

Cast your minds back, since Roy Hodgson took over has any team walloped us or even looked like walloping us? I`d say the answer is no!

Could we really go down and be considered the unluckiest team in the history of the Premier League to do so?

Your thoughts would be appreciated!

If we go down it will be deserved for sacking, wait for it, Chris Coleman! yeah iv'e gone on about it but we sacked the best manager we have ever had. and then gave a crap manager money to spend who sold our good players and bought the biggest piles of **** ever!

Sanchez will be the reason Fulham got relegated, imagine... just imagine where we would possibly be if RH had been brought to the club in the summer and had been given 25 million to spend instead of that idiot...

I still stand by the cookie sacking. we weren't exactly in a fantastic position now were we!! He was a very likeable guy! I think that might be confused with him being a good manager. We were right for sacking cookie but made the mistake of getting Sanchez in! donfulham is right in saying we would be in such a better position if we got Roy in instead! With the luck thing, yes we've been very unlucky and it hasn't just been under roy that we've not been played off the pitch. It was like that for quite a few games under Sanchez. You make your own luck. There is a reason why we have only won 3 games this season, a *****e manager who made *****e desisions in the games. The fact we had a small team hasn't helped either!

Yes. Agree getting ready of Cookie & thinking you were a top 8 team was your downfall. Too many of you took for granted being a mid table team. You'll join the sad lot now in the fizzy pop league.

Yeah we've been unlucky but that's no excuse for where we are we shouldn't be relying on luck after the money that was spent and the squad that we started with this season (pre sanchez signings(Chris Baird) i still can't understand that one) let's hope we get lucky against united .........very lucky

The time was right for Cookie to go, he had lost the plot and we were dross. Agreed, Sanchez must shoulder the blame for our latest downfall alongside the idiot who employed him. You can also add MAF to that list for taking cheap options in an expensive league. As for the luck thing, nobody will give a toss about our luck this season, only us. It`s commendable that some FFC fans still think we can stay up, let`s face it, survival is still in our own hands. Come on Roy, throw caution to the wind, attack, attack, and then attack some more, let`s at least go down fighting.
