Pearce out

Fulham defender Ian Pearce has joined Southampton on loan. The vastly experienced centre back and Premiership champion (1994-1995 season) will remain at St. Mary's until March 22nd 2008.

Pearce will join Nigel Pearson's squad in time for Southampton's clash with Scunthorpe on Saturday.

It was thought he would join up with Cookie at Coventry but the move never materialised.

well good luck Pearce! I'm quite surprised he's still about!

He is past it, too prone to injury, too slow. Need to ship him out at the end of the season
